Re: NS2 overnight unbearably slow

Hello, the switch really was the culprit. Something with the RJ45 connectors was wrong, they kept blinking as if they were busy all the time although they were not (wireshark said so). Some kind of hardware failure. After I convinced my ISP to replace the router ("LED blinking is normal", sigh!) eve...

Re: NS2 overnight unbearably slow

It seems the switch is the culprit. I connected a brand new NS2 (I guess I like the model ;-) to it in order to save my data before sending the old NS2 to Lacie and it was just as slow, LED blinking all the time. Even copying from my local hard drive to the new NS2 wasn't possible and all kind of we...

Re: NS2 overnight unbearably slow

The the RJ45 leds blink on both ends: NS2 and switch. Hmmm... could it have been hacked from the outside? ... but it keeps blinking when the switch is not physically connected to the internet. On the other hand, when the switch is not physically connected to the internet the network assistant keeps ...

NS2 overnight unbearably slow

Hello, from one day to the next my NS2 has turned unbearably slow when reading and especially writing data over the ethernet connection. I have no clue why. I didn't change anything in my system and suddenly copying a 30 MB file takes over 15 minutes!!! I tried and resetted it to the factory setting...

Re: [Beta Program] Network Space 2

Hello people,

the new firmware version 1.2.5 is out. I just updated my NS2, but I can't notice many changes apart from minor UI tweaks and the new proxy tab in the network configuration menu. Does anybody know what the most important changes are?

Regards,

Recovering your data out of a dead EDmini for dummies

Hello, my ED Mini 250GB crashed 3 weeks ago. The disk was fine, but the circuitry died on overheating. I didn't care about the hardware, it was old enough, but I wanted my data back. Google brought me here and in a thread I cannot find right now (otherwise I would post it there) I found some people ...
