Re: bittorrent on wireless space

Hej, The wireless space comes with transmission. If you enable the "Download" in the Configuration tab a transmission process is started on the wireless space. Just log in via ssh and execute ps w. There you will see an entry like this: ....... 14797 admin 21520 S /usr/bin/transmission-daemon -g /la...

I don't know but try the "Download" section in the Dashboard.
There you can download torrents with, out of the box ;)

In the Dashboard go to "General" and enabled the checkbox next to SSH-Server ;)

Re: Enable Twonky Configuration

Hej,

Try modifying the file

/lacie/default/mediaserver.ini.klaxon

to make changes reboot-safe!

Need to be root to do that ;)

Re: Update to 1.0.7 fails?!?!

Well, I just tried it with Firefox on the Mac and it worked.

Seems like there is a problem with uploading on Safari on Mac!
I only got a WirelessSpace.cluff.FAILURE file on the MyShare that was just 33 MB instead of the 44 MB of the original cluff!

Anyway, anyone knows what new and better?

Update to 1.0.7 fails?!?!

1.0.7 is just out.
Problem is, the updated doesn't work on my WS!?
It still says 1.0.2 in the Dashboard after reboot!

Anyone else having luck?

[HOWTO] Set the root password to lacie

Here is a guide how you can set your root password to "lacie", even reboot safe :) 1. Open a TextEditor and paste in the following root:$1$aRn1q2MR$FIx.hlkWbFrY3aKBESNke.:10933:0:99999:7::: nobody:*:10933:0:99999:7::: !!user.name.1!!::10933:0:99999:7::: wuala::10933:0:99999:7::: messagebus::10933:0:...

Re: File transfer via SMB

No, I am not a beta tester. Maybe I should contact them because I have problems accessing the MyShare via AFP on my Mac.
Somehow it stopped working!

Re: iTunes server. No movies in FrontRow or iTunes

Hej I don't have a Network Space 2 only a Wireless Space but I checked the mt-daapd configuration on that device. Unfortunately the iTunes server only scans mp3 files. There is an option to enable them in the configuration file but therefore you need to be root. Once again, that's for a Wireless spa...

Re: File transfer via SMB

Hej, I have my wireless space connected via Gigabit Ethernet to my Macbook Pro. Just copied 280 GB of Data on the drive. Max. Speed I get is 18-19 MB/s ... was hoping for more, but it's still okay! No hangs or crashed! Works just fine! (Used SBM and AFP). @rosbif: I still have 1.0.2. Where did you g...
