Maybe you can extrapolate some useful information from it to solve your problem. :)

Ooh.. i've found a nice bug.. maybe someone else can confirm ? When I plug in a USB drive, all my installed packages are gone. the files for the packages are still there, but they are not started on reboot and the package manager doesn't see them anymore. Then i reinstall them... unplug the USB driv...

So far the only difference i noticed, compared to 2.4.17 is that the web UI now uses a browser login (basic auth) instead of having a javascript based login. For the rest it all works (or not :roll:) the same as before.

try enforcing the login domain. E.g. if your NAS is called "sitecomnas" and your username is "private", fill in sitecomnas\private as username.

The packages are installed on a hidden directory on the hard disk (/home/PUBLIC/.pkg/ to be exact). If you formatted the disks on your PC, the package ought to be gone.

Hey all Like many of you, i was looking for a way to make the MD-254's fan noise a bit more acceptable. Browsing this forum told me that it was a matter of changing the values in some files.
