Re: No access - white ligth blinking

http://forum.nas-central.org/viewtopic.php?f=279&t=8405 You need to install a Linux system, or boot and run a Linux system from CD. Google for such free CD Images file. In worst case, the hard drive is dead. This happened to me once. I have to send it back for warranty for a replacement. Hi thanks a...

Re: No access - white ligth blinking

White blinking means the Linux system inside is not starting up. You can try

1. holding the reset button for 15 sec then release it to see if the system comes back.

2. If 1 fails, you can try taking the drive out and attach it to a Linux system (such as Ubuntu) to access the file directly.

Re: Help - Recover data after partition table overwritten

The replacement device arrived with the same ST2000DM001 but different PN of 1CH162, while the receiver drive is 9YN164. Does it matter? Edit: I still proceeded ahead. After copied over the partition info, I got the same result as before. #mdadm --examine /dev/sda2 mdadm: No md superblock detected o...

Re: Help - Recover data after partition table overwritten

It's the "donor one" that has been found having bad sectors. This donor is the trouble maker. If it's not for the attempt to fix it at the first place (I didn't know there was bad sector), the other drive wont get messed up accidentally. Now the one with bad sector has been completely dead. Maybe I ...

Re: Help - Recover data after partition table overwritten

After putting this drive back to the box and accessing it through the management page, it says "Lenovo EZ not ready. You must authorize overwriting existing data to start using this device". Re: Help - Recover data after partition table overwritten

I followed all these steps and did a reboot, but that huge partition is still not seen in Ubuntu. The same partition is seen on the second drive once connected to Ubuntu. And now your 2nd EZ is up&running again? In that case I guess you can just copy the partition table back: Connect the sourcedisk ...

Re: Iomega EZ Media & Backup Center Install Transmission

Apart from not being able to change default port for web management, I just found out that the folder created by Lenovo's transmission is read-only. This is unacceptable to me. Tried to find a way to fix that by modifying settings.json but failed because changes can't be saved when transmission keep...

Re: How to recovery EZ Media

I succeeded in mounting the 2TB drive ripped from EZ Media in Ubuntu 13.10. I'm new to Ubuntu before this. Some online post mentioned that the drive will be mounted automatically in Ubuntu, but it's not my case. Here are the command lines (run in terminal) that finally made it work (you need to inst...
