Re: Correct procedure for moving from 2x2TB RAID1 to 2x4TB??

/dev/md0: 617895/122068992 files (0.8% non-contiguous) 455603841/488249472 blocks That's not good. The new volume has 488249472 'blocks', which is kB, so the total volume is 488GiB in size. I think it's an MBR issue. Can you post the output of cat /proc/mdstat cat /proc/partitions df fdisk -l /dev/...

Re: [HOWTO] Update samba (to 3.6.25) using Entware-ng

Can you delete

/opt/var/log/log.smbd
/opt/var/log/log.nmbd
/opt/var/run/smbd-ZyXELSambaReplacement.conf.pid
/opt/var/run/nmbd-ZyXELSambaReplacement.conf.pid

and try to start it again?

Re: libc6 debug symbols

Ah, you are talking about Entware-ng, I suppose? That would be a challenge indeed. Entware-ng is a derivative of OpenWRT, and is by it's nature cross compiled. It's not intended to be a build environment, the addition of gcc to the repository is recently recent, and not available for all platforms. ...

Have a look in the logs, in /opt/var/log/

Re: libc6 debug symbols

I think you have basically two options: Develop it on a different platform, or build a custom glibc, containing debug symbols, and chroot your development environment, or bind-mount the new libc.so on the original one, or use LD_LIBRARY_PATH to force usage of it. The sources of libc, and the build p...

Re: NAS540 NFS access denied troubles...

And since i cant get a log from nfsd According to /i-data/sysvol/.PKG/NFS/etc/init.d/NFS the actual daemons are rpcbind, rpc.nfsd, rpc.statd, and sm-notify (all located in /i-data/sysvol/.PKG/NFS/bin/). Don't what all those daemons actually do, but looking at 'daemon' --help and man 'daemon' all th...

Re: NAS 520 port edit ?

Do you have an example of a script so that I can reformify it? No. To be honest I'm not that into Apache that I would know how the configuration files should be changed. If you know, you basically have two options: write a script which performs the edits on the existing configuration, of simply cop...

Re: My NSA 310 disappears from network devices list

Could it be that your Windows got an update? The NSA310 only supports SMB1, while W10 is dropping that. Don't know if that has any impact on DNS issues, though. You can access your box over http using the IP address, but can you also still access the shares? In the latter case your Windows still sup...

Re: NAS 520 port edit ?

I tried to change etc / service_chone and pkg_service_channel failures but did not work after the restart returned to its original condition. The directory /etc/ is on a ramdrive, and so changes won't survive a reboot. On boot the box starts with some default files, which are dynamically exchanged/...

No, that has nothing to do with it. The repository doesn't know the age of your kernel.

Why do you think it's not available? Did you install busybox?

Re: Entware mySQL installation issue

I managed to build a kernel module which basically injects the cmpxchg64 code from kernel 3.2 into the firmware kernel. On my '325 mysql now installs: /opt/bin/mysql_install_db --force Installing MariaDB/MySQL system tables in '/opt/var/mysql/' ... 180404 20:37:31 [Warning] 'THREAD_CONCURRENCY' is d...

I don't know. Maybe busybox.
or is there another way of installing the module?
Yes. Locate the module in /opt/lib/modules/<kernel-version>/, and load it with

Code: Select all

insmod /path/to/module.ko
If the module is dependent on others, you'll have to load them first.

If you have a decent PC/laptop with enough diskspace, you can install it in a virtual machine, like VirtualBox.
