Hi All
i got a 250gb edmini, first version.

i want to replace the inner harddrive with a bigger one, avoing to buy another complete nas...just another hard disk.

But i'm sure i should have to re-install the operating system on new harddisk.
is there an "automagic" way to do it?? (like an hard reset with new harddisk inside, or the upgrading software)

or i should copy the filesystem manually with dd ?

thanks in advice

I know little about the EDmini v1 but there is no "automagic" way of doing this on the EDmini v2 :(
I suspect the same applies to the v1.

The internal flash memory of the EDmini v2 is very small (512 KiB) and contains essentially just U-Boot.
There is no way of fitting even just a compressed kernel :(
However I suppose that, in principle, it would be possible to "automagically" pull stuff off the Internet but AFAIK there is no support for this.
