Hi all :)
I've been lurking this forum for quit a long time (6 or 7 years I think), but I've never had a problem woth my Edmini until now.
It's been an avalanche of failures :)
- power supply sudden death
- constant hangs after replacing power supply
- supercapacitor blew up
- and finally HDD died
All of this happened within a week :)
But i'm ok with it, since my Edmini worked 24/7 for almost 10 years and that was first time(s) it failed to do his job.
Maybe i've been lucky, or maybe it"s because the casing looks more like fishet than aluminium block :D

I've bought new NAS, but since i like this old metal book, i want to give him second life, at home, as storage for pictures, movies and all stuff that it can handle.
It's working right now on stock FW, with brand new 500GB HDD but I've been thinking about upgrading it to fvdw, since it seems to be good alternative to stock FW.

My question is - can i go straight to fvdw v17, and is it neccesary to upgrade uboot?

I think you'd better ask this at http://plugout.net, fvdw's home base.

Actually I don't know if the Edmini v2 is supported at all.

Since it is the Orion platform, the same as Internet Space v1, i think that it shouldn't be the problem.
Nevertheless thank you ;)

EDIT:
Done. Everything is working fine. ;)
