Lacie BigDisk.zip contains two diskimages, a few pictures and sectedit.exe.
The whole procedure will only take 5 minutes or so.
Use Sectedit.exe under windows7. I used my laptop with two Serial ATA converters on USB (20 euro each).
If the disks are not fresh, please remove all partitions first (i.e. Partition Wizard)!
select disk.
import sectors.
choose R or L_disk.bin
OK (should take a minute or so).
Again for the second disk.
Attach both harddisks to Ubuntu 10.04.
I ran Ubuntu in a VMPlayer box (or a VMware Workstation) under windows 7, so I could switch easely between Ubuntu and Win7.
Open Diskutility (see picture, 4xRaid-1 and 1xRaid-0 arrays).
Run each raid (one at the time).
Select Check (if resyncing wait and check after). During checking array may being repaired (see picture).
Stop array.
Check all 4 Raid-1 arrays.
Do not check Raid-0 array.
Ready!
Build NAS together and switch it on.
In Explorer
http://192.168.1.xxx (your Lacie BigDisk address, if not sure use MyLanViewer or look into your router).
Log on: admin/admin.
In System/Disks choose format.
Wait a minute and press status (3 times).
Log in again.
Everything should work.
Firmware version is v2.28.
Above mentioned procedure is meant for 2x1TB disks. If using 500GB disks (or even smaller) please contact me for advise.

I've posted the files again on March 26 2012. Look at: alt.binaries.ftd or alt.binaries.boneless or alt binaries.misc (look for Lacie)
The checking part is optional, so don't bother (all can be done under windows within a few minutes).

Clunc support
This board works well with clunc; main LED will become red while clunc is active.
