I am posting this, after having a successful installation on 2x 1.0Tb HDD.
I thank all of you, how added different informations, since 5Big Network to 2Big Network 2, and piking up bits and parts, I have manege to turn back alive the 2Big network 1, that had no HDD.
Hope my success, can be helpful for some one.
LaCie 2big Network Configuration (2x 1.0TB WD Black HDDs “used”)(Step-by-Step Instructions):
What do you need:
1. A PC tower with 2x SATA and 2x USB port or 1x USB and 1x DVD drive.
2. Ubuntu Desktop from http://www.ubuntu.com/download
3. md0.gz, md1.gz and sda6.gz from http://downloads.lacie.nas-central.org/Users/Mijzelf/2big/
4. LaCie Network Assistant 1.5.15 (Win) from http://www.lacie.com/gb/en/support/network-storage/2big-network/
(It has to be on Windows, because I only found the Recovery Mode on it)
5. capsule-2Big-upgrade-2.2.3-r1802 from http://downloads.lacie.nas-central.org/Users/LacieHasser/2big/Updates_from_2.07_to_2.2.8/
What to do:
1. Burn Ubuntu OS to a blank DVD+R, or setup on a USB PEN.
2. Copy md0, md1 and sda6 to a USB PEN or on a second USB PEN, if Ubuntu OS is on a USB PEN (Ubuntu OS must not have the md0, md1 and sda6 files)
3. Use a PC tower and unplug all disk on it.
4. Plug both 1.0Tb HDD to the tower by SATA.
5. Insert de DVD drive with Ubuntu OS and the USB PEN with the files, our both USB PEN's, in case Ubuntu OS is on one of them.
6. Boot via Ubuntu (Access setup to change the boot priority)
7. Do not install, try Ubuntu instead
8. Open Gparted, verify that the entire 1.0TB HDD is unallocated, and create an msdos partition tablet on both HDD
9. Ensure that you have internet access, open Terminal, and enter the following line:
12. Verify that /dev/sda and /dev/sdb, are your both 1.0TB HDD.
13. Enter root mode and update OS and install Mdadm, entering the following lines:
apt-get install mdadm (Use default settings)
apt-get install xfsprogs
14. Prepare both disk one at a time in fdisk. First sda.
15. Enter the following line by line in fdisk in order to create the necessary partition table:
16. Now prepare the second disk sdb
17. Repeat step 15
18. Enter (copy and paste) the following line by line in Terminal in order to create the necessary RAID partitions:
mdadm --create /dev/md3 --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sda5 /dev/sdb5 --metadata=0.90
mkswap -f /dev/md3
mdadm --stop /dev/md3
mdadm --create /dev/md0 --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sda7 /dev/sdb7 --metadata=0.90
mke2fs -j /dev/md0
gzip -cd /USB/PATH/TO/md0.gz | dd of=/dev/md0
mdadm --stop /dev/md0
mdadm --create /dev/md1 --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sda8 /dev/sdb8 --metadata=0.90

19. Shutdown the PC and unplug the 1.0Tb disks.
20. Plug back your tower disks, to return to Windows OS, and install LaCie Network Assistant 1.5.15 (Win)
21. Plug the 1.0Tb disks to the NAS, but DO NOT
turn it on now.
22. Make sure that the NAS LAN port is in the same network of your PC tower, and that the RAID mode is on BIG.
23. Launch LaCie Network Assistant, and on the Taskbar enter the Recovery Mode.
24. Follow the steps, and when promoted, browser to capsule-2Big-upgrade-2.2.3-r1802 file.
25. When promoted by the Recovery Mode assistant, turn on the NAS
26. The NAS will start booting up several times, and the lights will start blinking.
27. Once the LaCie Network Assistant pikes up the NAS, the back two light will be blinking ate the same time. Thats because they are synchronizing both disk, because we programed theme that way, RAID 1.
To avoid synchronizing the disk, login to the web interface, and in System > RAID, select Format, and accept the new RAID array. This will stop the synchronizing, and give you a 2Tb data, on RAID 0 mode.
