linux-2.6.30-rc6 for N1200 available

Post by timtim » Tue May 26, 2009 9:26 pm

Hi,
2.6.30-rc6 is up for the Thecus N1200 at the link below:

http://downloads.thecus.nas-central.org/N1200/Kernels/

This includes a fix from the previously posted kernels with the switch ports - previously a cable had to be plugged into lan1 and eth1 had to be up for lan1-4 to work, now eth1 has to be up and a cable can be plugged into any lan port (which must also be up, obviously!).

bbradley did a lot of work around other support for the N1200 of late and has been preparing the work to go into the kernel.org kernels fairly soon - watch this space!

We have posted the work for peer review now so hopefully once a few small issues have been ironed out these devices will be supported in the mainline kernels:

Also we have updated the kernel in the foonas.org git repository (in the for-mainline branch) to 2.6.30-rc8:
