Network Drive 500g, completely wiped, now completely stumped

Post by Greig » Sat Nov 07, 2009 12:08 pm

Hi guys, im looking for as much help as possible, here's my situation....

I have a lacie network space 500gb, of which I previously removed the HD out of and put it into my windows pc, formatting it and being used in windows.

Now as u may guess my problem is, now I have gone to put it into the enclosure again, to find that the network space is useless. Reading this forum I see that I do need to sort out some kind of partitioning now, and I assume i'd need the files which were on them before.

My question is can anyone assist me, or guide me to restoring my network space back to its original state please?

thanks

(ps im complete noob to linux so bare with me)

I as well as a few others may well be watching this thread with baited breath.

Finding an image of the empty drives with software one them will IMO be the first step.
I'm kicking myself for not waiting longer & just letting my son have one of mine for in his PC.
Dumb Windows user & 500gb Network Store owner.
I'm not compatible with Linux :(
