I have a cd for the MD253, but if you need the firmware you can follow the link on the post below "MD-253 firmware". It is the same for the MD-254. The packages can be found on the link in this post: Twonky package for MD-253 2.4.21. If you need anything else please let it know to sitecom or leave a message and I can mail you it.
I don't understand why sitecom does not mention all these links on their site.
Succes,
Chris

Hi. I also lost my installation CD. I've found your post but I can't see any link to the software. Please, could you share it someway? I also have a MD253 but I can try with other software.
The Sitecom site has no published downloads for this model, it even show any page for it.

Your help will be very appreciated.

Thank you...

Hello,
they really hide the download page. That is what they call "10 year warranty".
Here are for you the links to the firmware and packages (I copied them from other Topics on this forum).
http://www.service-downloads.com/data/files/Sitecom/MD-253_254_2.4.21.zip
http://www.service-downloads.com/data/files/Sitecom/NAS_Packages.zip
I never got the print package working correctly with my HP laser printer.

Succes,
Chris

Hi Chris, sorry because I bother you, but really I'm a little confused, what should we do with these files? I try something but no effect. You are right, they hide these kind of links, unfortunately I couldn't found a link to download Home Storage Center Utility. I'm not sure to know how we "discover" the NAS on the network without this CD software.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Hi everybody,
Fixed... Reset using hide button on the back... default ip = 192.168.0.101.
On a browser write down 192.168.0.101 and the web page is started.

Thanks to all.

Hi! I've downloaded the two zip files. What have I to do with the zip firmware? I've tried to upload it into the web config page of the MD-254, but after the process is finished it tells me that the files doesn't need to be updated. I'm on version 2.4.17, said.

Hello Lucio BT,
I myself stuck on version 2.4.17 because of the bad reviews I read on version 4.21 elsewhere on this forum.
To install:
unpack the zip file somewhere on your computer.
Then log in on the MD and go to: Toolbox>Firmware upgrade>Intranet upgrade and go to the file where the upgrade is stored, >apply
After the upgrade you have to login again on on the MD.

If you are satisfied with release 4.21 please post your experiences in that thread.

Succes,

Chris
