MD-253 HD Support

Post by sergio » Thu Jul 01, 2010 3:04 pm

I buy last day one Samsung sata II with 1TB, but my MD-253 don't recognize it!
I need to do anything to NAS detect it?!
The NAS supports 1TB HDs?!
I try the two available slots... format disk in xfs, ntfs, without partitions... I even try upgrade the NAS firmware... but nothing... In web interface or windows setup application already say "no disks".

PS: The HD works fine, i already try it in a PC or external drive.

Tks in advance...

Samsung has troubles in this device, i have samsung as well in the NAS.

The first slot is the problem, it's not in the socket deep enough, therefore whacking the device HDD status. check it out...

The NAS itself has no problem with disks up to 2 TB. I have 2 2TB disks in it from WD. Works great.
