The openshare info file is a manually copied version of what I have on my mac network at the moment.
I’m hoping that from that info you will be able to tell me what I have done wrong in the setup.
This is only the tip of the iceberg, however, if I don’t have two Openshares I don’t have any and cannot access the Network space at all. Perhaps you can tell me why I just lose it.

In LNA Volumes the Myshare icon has an exclamation mark
A box enclosing a tick, auto and “mount “ in a clear box.
Openshare is similar without the exclamation mark.

In LNA Configuration

Interface configuration is 00:D0:4B:91:66:29

Automatic (DHCP) is selected
Manual isn’t

IP address 192.168.1.72
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway Address 192.168.1.254
DNS 192.168.1.254
Wins Address 0.0.0.0

System version 2.2.12.2

Ive tried to check the general and User settings on dashboard web access but I get an error message saying it cannot retrieve the data , reload the page.

So, three questions, how do I stop the bogus version of Openshare and how can I stop losing the drive. If I can’t stop it how can I reconnect without tearing my hair out.

Something must be right because sometimes it works. Incidentally I have just been to check the Serial number of the drive and the mac reports that Networkspace 2 is no longer accessible.
I am listening to my songs from my library that is stored on the drive.

I don't know what causes your problems, but I know why you have 2 openshares.
Quote:
The NAS publishes the shares using both the afp (Apple) and smb (Microsoft). And for some reason your PC sees them both.
Yet I don't know why both protocols give different information about disk size/free size.

Thanks for reading and replying. Since I lost the disk on Monday (since got it back) I've not had my notebook (win 7) running. The two shares are published on a Mac. I suppose you noticed that one of them had the suffix -1. I've looked at it just now and the numbers are different again.
It sounds as if it is not normal to see both shares.
LNA can't see the disk today but iTunes is still accessing it.
