Network Hard Drive woes----I owned a 500GB D2 Lacie Network drive since 2009 which resided on my home network and ran just fine for years. A couple of weeks of ago I could not longer access the drive from 2 different laptops. The network thought the drive name did not exist. I can hear the drive spinning with no odd noises coming from it. I then unplugged the drive from my router and tried plugging the network cable directly into 2 different laptops, still no drive recognition or access. I then took a radical step and removed the drive from the enclosure, removed the network controller board and installed the drive into a standard 3.5" drive enclosure with a USB cable interface. My laptop still does not recognize the drive via the USB cable. I would love to get the data off this drive (approx. 17GB of data) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
