I bought an iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive 1TB in late 2009 and put some data on it. Now I do not know how to access it. I have reset it and get to a login page that requires the Administrator's password. I do not know the default password after reset. The device has a USB port, but the kind that a computer provides to connect peripherals to it, so the iomega can not be connected as a peripheral to a computer. But maybe the iomega can be booted from a rescue operating system on an USB memory connected to it? Since there is no keyboard or display on the iomega, the rescue operating system would have to be set up to connect to the LAN with DHCP and allow SSH login or something like that. Has anyone done anything like this?

Indeed you can't connect the NAS via USB, for the same reason you can't connect two laptops via USB. The NAS is a computer, not an USB disk enclosure.

The default login for the NAS is ADMIN with password ADMIN. (Both case sensitive)
