I have a 1TB Iomega home media network drvie that has stoped working. The red light is constanly on and cannot access the files. I have removed it from the origainal caddy and connectted it to my PC's (Windows 7) motherboard via SATA. When connectted and looking in disk management you can see the data sections and partitions but they are greyed out and cannat access them. I have since brought a new Iomega home network drive and swapped the HDD's to see if that would do anything but it still doesn't work and I can't access the data. I swapped them round to see if the circuit board was blown or damaged but this is not the case. Is the data encrypted becasue it doesn't like to be out of it's box. I have also tried connecting it t a USB caddy without success. I have 10 years worth of data that I desppatly need to access and not sure what I can do. Any ideas?
