Un-root HMNDHD

Post by pgeorge » Thu Jan 19, 2012 3:13 pm

Does anyone know how to unroot the home media network drive ?
I followed the instructions to root it. the one that uses encrypted script to replace entries in /etc/passwd and add nascentral group and user and change root password. All works fine. But now I need to unroot for support reasons. Does anyone have the original /etc/passwd and group files ?
I do know if the script made a backup of the changed files.

thanks

The root is done by adding a user+group nascentral to /etc/passwd, shadow, group and gshadow. Further the rootpassword is changed in password, and the telnetd line in /etc/inetd.conf is uncommented.
(The actual script is here)

You can find a backup of all these files in sda1-2064.tgz.
