Mijzelf,

i'm sorry i'm late ... I've try many times your code:
Code:
time dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/null bs=1M count=1k1

The maximum speed is between 24 and 27MB. I think that may be the maximum for my device :(

Then i've try
Code:
renice 19 $( pidof svcd )

After, i've run "top" command during a copy of approx 40GB (single file). I've see two process that require many cpu: the first "SMBD" (from 40% to 80% cpu usage - average 60/65%), the second "SVCD" (from 4% to 25% cpu usage - average 10/15%).
Incredible! Now files transfer reach 20MB /sec!!! 3 or more times respect before!!!

Please, could you explain me how to make these changes persistent inside sohoProcs.xml file?

Thank you so much!!

In this blog the script /opt/editconfig.sh does the job. Get some practise with the vi editor before you do this. It's a nasty editor, and the only one on the box. If you damage sohoProcs.xml odds are that you brick the box.
