Problem installing FFP (Fonz Fun Plug)

Post by robiwan » Wed Jul 20, 2016 1:47 am

Hi everyone,
I tried installing FFP 0.7, and I'm pretty unsuccesful
I followed the instructions on this link
http://iomega.nas-central.org/wiki/Application:FFP

Downloaded the .tgz file and got it installed via the Nas web interface.
Oce installed, I can see the FFP shortcut and icon in the web interface. Nothing happens when I click on it though I believe it's supposed to load a web page.

I connected via ssh to my device.
When I make a dir command, I can see that there is no ffp folder.
I can't use slacker, can't install uwsiteloader, etc.

What kind of verifications should I make ?
I'm not familiar with linux commands, so thank you for your help

Starting with firmware 4.1.102 the package doesn't work anymore for some unknown reason. To overcome that I wrote an ffp-starter script, instructions here.

Unless you eagerly want FFP, consider Entware-ng. Basically it's about the same, but while the FFP maintainer abandoned his project 4 years ago, Entware-ng is alive and kicking.
