Iomega NAS with Apache-PHP

Post by news1 » Sat Nov 19, 2011 2:52 pm

Hi. If I missed this somewhere please forgive me - I checked but didn't find a post.

I have root access to the NAS and I have installed PHP. I have tried to install php-apache but I keep getting the following errors:

Configuring apache
update-alternatives: Linking //opt/sbin/htpasswd to /opt/sbin/apache-htpasswd
update-alternatives: Linking //opt/sbin/httpd to /opt/sbin/apache-httpd
httpd: Syntax error on line 74 of /opt/etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Cannot load /opt/libexec/mod_ext_filter.so into server: /opt/libexec/mod_ext_filter.so: undefined symbol: apr_procattr_limit_set
httpd: Syntax error on line 74 of /opt/etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Cannot load /opt/libexec/mod_ext_filter.so into server: /opt/libexec/mod_ext_filter.so: undefined symbol: apr_procattr_limit_set
postinst script returned status 1
ERROR: apache.postinst returned 1
Configuring gconv-modules
ln: creating symbolic link `/lib/gconv': Read-only file system
postinst script returned status 1
ERROR: gconv-modules.postinst returned 1
Configuring php-apache
Successfully terminated.

Has anyone gotten this to work?

Thanks!

Hello,
I think I can help you.

try to edit the /opt/etc/apache2/httpd.conf file and comment (#) the loadmodule line:
#LoadModule ext_filter_module libexec/mod_ext_filter.so

after this try to reinstall apache:
ipkg install apache

If you still get the error: "ln: creating symbolic link `/lib/gconv': Read-only file system"
you have to copy the contain of folder /mnt/apps to /mnt/soho_storage/apps

cp -rvp /mnt/apps /mnt/soho_storage/apps

and after this run:
mount --bind /mnt/soho_storage/apps /mnt/apps
You have to run this on reboot to.

after this try to reinstall apache:
ipkg install apache

If you need more help, please post here.
Have a nive day.

Hi. I seem to have lost contact with the NAS during the copy process. I'll have to manually reboot the device and try to see what happened. It was copying fine then it just stopped. I couldn't escape out of it and I couldn't spawn a new SSH session.
