Hey guys, I just bought a Wireless Space to replace my broken Buffalo Linkstation live. I did had a few problems setting it up, but know it works as it should. However there is something that really bugs me.

My Samsung TV can only see the Openshare partition and therefore I have to manually move downloaded files to that folder. Is there a way for the built in torrent client to download files directly in Openshare partition, or allow the TV to see MyShare?

I am basically willing to do anything. I had a look at how to root the device and install twonkymedia server, but I would like to know how that would help me. Will installing a custom firmware alter in anyway the device performance in other areas, eg as a wireless router?

For future reference, to anyone in the same position:

I've used the wonderfull guide posted here: viewtopic.php?f=246&t=5049 by grpw.

Once the Transmission web client is installed, you can change the default download directory to OpenShare.

For this to work though, you have to enable read and write partitions for all in the new download directory...

Will report back if I notice anything out of the ordinary, but so far I think its OK.
