This looks like a problem with your installation of FFmpeg, and not cmus. Please make sure you've built and installed it correctly.

cmus developer can think whatever he wants, but that doesn't make his opinion right de facto. I don't see any useful info or arguments in this statement.

And I think that was a hard work (the compile).
Actually compilation of mpd was very easy. It configures rightly and compiles without any warning, unlike cmus, which had numerous alignment and others warnings.

Regarding mpd and missing accept4. I simply commented the if and I tried to make it. I Can't believe it, it worked! :D

I think You used an other thing to solve it, aren't you? I think this accept4 not accidental in the source and the package not stable bc I commented it. :roll:

It wasn't necessary for me. mpd ./configure script rightly determined, that I don't have accept4 and configured source code without it.

Oh. I didn't know this scenario. :)

Ps: I hid Your package from my "repo".

I make a try to compile cmus with roar. But it says the following:

Code:
make[1]: Entering directory '/i-data/bf835951/build/roaraudio-1.0beta11/roarclients'
/ffp/bin/gcc -g -Wall -L../lib/  -o roarctl roarctl.o -lroar -lroardsp -lm -lm
../lib//libroar.so: warning: gethostbyname is obsolescent, use getnameinfo() instead.
../lib//libroardsp.so: undefined reference to `sqrtl'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:59: recipe for target 'roarctl' failed
make[1]: *** [roarctl] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/i-data/bf835951/build/roaraudio-1.0beta11/roarclients'
Makefile:23: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2

I tried to add to roarcctl.c the #include <math.h> line, but it not solved the problem...

I also tried
Code:
LIBS="-lm" ./configure --prefix=/ffp
...

Any idea? :roll:

Nobody?

Ok, I gave up the roaraudio and the cmus... :(

Regarding mpd... I didn't used the tool and my soundcard about two weeks, but today I decided to try my new Denon soundcard And my new subwoofer. So I had to modprobe the oss drivers and I had to mknod the dsp and the mixer. After it I tried to play some music. It started, but the song was very laggy at the first 14 seconds... And the song suddenly stopped before the last ~10 sec... I tried other songs, but the output is the same. The sound quality is very good, So I a bit disappointed...

And one more thing... If I modify Your start script to automatically loads the drivers Can You upload it to UR repo?

Best regards,
MrDini ;)

I don't like this idea. Mpd start script is more or less FFP generic. You want to make it your case specific. Consider of using udevd for that purpose. In that case you will need to add udevd dependency line to mpd start script :

Quote:
#!/ffp/bin/sh

# PROVIDE: mpd
# REQUIRE: udevd

Then mpd service will run after udevd service.

I'm so sorry, that was me. I read the topic, and saw a "Bump topic" link at the bottom and I didn't know what it does, just tried it. Now it is clear for me. It changes the last post's date, in order to appear at the topiclist's first place.
