Hello, firs sorry for my bad english its not mi native language.
Now to my questins i have home two new WD30PURZ drives and have the posibility to buy a cheap Zyxel NAS326. I checked the compatibility list on Zyxels website and WD Purple drives are not listed. My question is will the drives work in the NAS326? Or can i only use the officialy supported drives?

A Sata disk is a Sata disk, so all disks are supposed to work. That 'compatibility list' are only the disks they have tested. And there are no 'known incompatible' disks.
Having said that, some versions of WD green are known to wear heavily in a NAS, due to the aggressive disk spin down. Don't know what market the WD purple is designed for.

Oh now i get it. Thanks for this info. The WD Purple drives are designed for surveillance systems (camera system) so it should be ok whit the load. What i read the WD Purple series is derived from the WD RED series.
