NSA325 Lost Files

Post by MrRusty » Sun Jan 14, 2018 6:57 pm

I'm struggling to find my files on an existing volume. I've scoured the forum and internet and can't find anything that's at my level and hope there's an elder geek who can maybe point me in the right direction.

I've got an NSA325v1 with 2 volumes, successfully running for ages.
I disabled a share (leaving the files intact).
When I try to re-enable it, the folder is empty. Both in Windows and the NSA GUI file browser.
I thought it was light weight housekeeping, but apparently not.

I've downloaded Putty and and can telnet into the NAS, but can't get any further.

I thought this thread [/viewtopic.php?f=249&t=16861] may be similar but I can't cd into any of the folders.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Which folder do you mean? That thread doesn't mention any folders to enter?

Thanks for the reply.

In the end I phoned Zyxel support and they solved it using Team Viewer. I'd describe the solution for future reference if I had understood it, but unfortunately not.

Anyway, problem solved and I shall be more careful with my housekeeping in future.
