Need boot recovery file for ix4-200d v3.2.6.17887(cloud)

Post by tecidea » Fri Jul 19, 2013 11:22 pm

Dear All

I recovered my ix4-200d (Originally Cloud edition) by USB boot recovery method https://lenovo-eu-en.custhelp.com/app/a ... a_id/24661

FYI-Boot files which I tested
https://app.sugarsync.com/wf/D6101633_71685638_616891

https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D6101633_619_6402143216

Then I end up with none cloud version 2.1.42.18967 but the current version for My NAS is v3.2.6.17887 at IOMEGA site.
My problem- when I try to update to v3.2.6.17887 it says THIS UPDATE ONLY APPLIES TO V 3.0.6(not available on web)
FYI- screen print of current none cloud interface ( https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D6101633_619_6494534589 )

I need to get back my previous Cloud version v3.2.6.17887 very badly. Please provide me boot recovery file for ix4-200d v3.2.6.17887(cloud edition)

FYI-this was my Previous v3.2.6.17887 could interface

Just extract the zipfile to the root of a FAT formatted USB stick with 2GB free space. The zipfile contains 1 file in 2 nested directories:
emctools/ix4-200d_images/ix4-200d.tgz

Power down the NAS, plug the stick in, press the reset button, and keep the button pressed while powering on, for about 2 minutes.

This will destroy all data on the NAS.

BTW, if you already downloaded it, you'll have to redownload it, as I made a mistake in generating the file. (The wrong version contains 10 files, the good version only one)

So...We have a cloud version of the ix4-200d that someone stole all of drives out of. Will this method work to restore the OS so it will run on the new drives?

Support told me they could not help me at all because its a cloud edition.

Thank you for the help!

This method is supposed to work with empty disks. Don't know if it will work on a single disk, or if it needs all slots filled.
