hi,
I have ix4-200d CE I have replace all the drive in the array (4X2 TB) with 4X3 TB one by one (waiting for the raid to rebuild) I have data on the array,
once all the new drive in the array and the last rebuild finish I can see in the " drive management " the 4 new drive with the new size, but new the system don't use the new free space :

Total Drive Size:10.92 TB
Capacity:5.4 TB
Used:4.85 TB
Available:563.22 GB
how can i expend the capacity to use the free space ?

thanks
PS
is there any alternative OS to install on this array instead of the IOMEGA OS?

thanks you!!

i post my response but i suggest to u to wait other users

mhhh

For first i suggest to u to backup all data on old disk..
After i'll help u to resize...

To do the backup..

http://YourNasIp/support.html

Check SSH support, apply, and close it..

With ssh on Linux or Putty from windows access in SSH to ur RAID

mdadm --stop /dev/md1

Get a SATA to USB controller and plug one by one ur old disks...
monitor dmesg to view where USB controller is mounted and all is done..
1)
dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sd"USB" conv=noerror,sync bs=4M
2)
dd if=/dev/sdb of=/dev/sd"USB" conv=noerror,sync bs=4M
3)
dd if=/dev/sdc of=/dev/sd"USB" conv=noerror,sync bs=4M
4)
dd if=/dev/sdd of=/dev/sd"USB" conv=noerror,sync bs=4M

i don't know if the system will try to recognize ur RAID configuration from USB but it can be a problem
