I have tried without success to configure email alerts for this device: ix4-200d, firmware: 2.1.38.22294
I get an Invalid Email Login message.
Using additional credentials, I specified the server name and/or IP address.
I tried appending alternate port numbers to both the name and IP.
I verified with tracert access to the server.
I opened a telnet session from a command prompt to verify connection.
Contacted support and the smtp server name is correct and should work.
Is there anyplace to explicitly key IP, ports, protocols (SSL, etc) for email notifications?
Is there a more definitive way to test what the exact failure may be?
Thank you,
Michael
