I would like to know if i would be able to upgrade the Western Digital WD30EFRX 3TB Red HDD's.
I would expect it to work. The main difference is that a >2TB disk needs a GPT partition table.
You can check if the firmware contains tools to create that, or if the disks already have a GPT partition table. The tool could be 'parted', and you can see if the disk has a GPT table be executing 'fdisk -l /dev/sda'. If the disk has 1 big partition of type 'ee', it has a GPT table.

After that i've tried to go to the Cloud Version firmware, and actually manage to get it working.

Unfortunately after all my efforts, i got stuck at the "You must specify a value for pool:name." error.

Since the firmware i've installed didn't had the "Add a storage pool" option as in this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vI20M24C9_w i was forced to return to the regular firmware...

Since i had all this trouble to revive this unit, i think i'm going to improve it a bit more.

Let's face it, it would be sweet to have a 9TB RAID 5 Nas Storage...

Thanks for all the help so far.

I'll have to take a look at this aspect before i do any changes. For now the device is running at 100%.

Again, i would like to say thanks to everyone that helped.
