I went through the full installation procedure and found it pretty painful. But now it is up and running and it is right, OMV is much better and much more stable than the original firmware.

If you ever plan to install OMV here's my tutorial to make it a bit easier for you: Tutorial

Hi!
I am trying just now....finger crossed

1) First test... no luck: the box seems to boot up, only 1 led is lit, but it does not receive an IP :(

2) Tried to set a static IP on eht0 and reboot...still no luck no answer to ping.

3) Going back to DHCP, new test --->no way, still no IP gathered (run NMAP)

What do you suggest? Where should I look?

There is only 1 led lit, the "power" and as far as I can see, the image was cloned correctly...

Hello!

How are you setting the static IP?

I had to do it via serial connection, editing /etc/network/interfaces then restarting networking service.

Another way is to check MAC address of the device and set it as reserved in your router.

I'm following up this post, wiling to try doing the same.

Cheers.
