Post by maomao » Sat Feb 21, 2015 2:14 am

Hi,

I'm trying to configure /dev/sda2 (2,7TB) as a LUKS partition, i'm following this HowTo: http://www.cyberciti.biz/hardware/howto ... p-command/

But I get this:

Code: Select all

[root@OXNAS:/fs]$.cryptsetup -y -v luksFormat /dev/sda2

WARNING!
========
This will overwrite data on /dev/sda2 irrevocably.

Are you sure? (Type uppercase yes): YES
Enter LUKS passphrase:
Verify passphrase:
device-mapper: reload ioctl on temporary-cryptsetup-2551 failed: Invalid argument
Failed to setup dm-crypt key mapping for device /dev/sda2.
Check that kernel supports aes-cbc-essiv:sha256 cipher (check syslog for more info).
Failed to write to key storage.
Command failed with code 5: Failed to write to key storage.
And dmesg

Code: Select all
