There is a plugin to backup to USB/eSATA drive when plugged in. You can also create rsync jobs.

What I have setup is a backup script, and jobbed it to run everyday.

Hello all!

I'm taking my HMCE out of the closed and willing to put it at work again.

Any news on installing OMV on it? Any easier/safer way? Any updates?

Thanks in advance!

I think the OMV devs have made it simpler to install since when I did, some 18 months ago
I have not upgraded to the latest version, tough, running 1.x something, not 2.
I was told that the main difference in on the web server, and I don't see (for the moment) enough goodies to upgrade (as HMNHDCE may run slower with the new web)

Hey ptelleria!

Alright. Do you know if the install process is the same (run debian then OMV) or can install just OMV?

I'll gonna check the new version anyway, see if I manage to install it here.

Cheers!

Wheezy is a requirement for OMV, so you need it first.
Let us know your progress, and how the 2.x version runs!
