Access is denied

Post by secluder » Tue Oct 27, 2015 7:44 pm

Hi there,

I'm able to log-in and browse all my folders/files of my Share within my Cloud's Dashboard but when I try to access the same folder from my PC's desktop, it tells me that the folder "is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource." -- I'm entering the exact same username and password when prompted. When I try to log-in as the Admin, I get the same message.

I'm using Windows 7 Pro and have a LaCie 2TB.

I've been able to gain access from my desktop a couple of weeks ago but now I can't. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The nas is running under linux. In linux username is also case sensitive. So be sure you use correct syntax.
Further i have seen that if you use the same username to log on your pc as you have defined on the nas, that in case passwords of windows is not the same as for same username on the nas that you get this kind of problems. But normally windows 7 should ask you if you want access it using different credentials if it fails to open an external folder

After doing quite a bit of searching, I found that I had to remove the references to this shared resource with this command:

net use /delete \\networkpath

I found that information here:

I hope this helps someone.
