My Cloudbox has a problem...won't mount on desktop nor can I access it. The drive powers on only when the power cable is inserted...not by the On/Off button. When the device is powered, I get a blinking blue light. The device warranty, off course, has expired.

I open the device and took out the hard drive and plug in a USB (3) enclosure...drive still won't mount. I read this thread viewtopic.php?f=277&t=17409; however, not sure that's my problem. LaCie's support is no help. The cute-designed enclosure seems to designed to fail just after the warranty expires. I don't care for the content (had a second external backup) on the drive; however, at least, I would like to reformat the drive if possible. I am a Mac user and has El Capitan installed.

It seems the 3TB has an extreme high failure rate too!

It seems I got a potential solution from this post: viewtopic.php?f=277&t=17917. I am still waiting whether I'll have access and the solution.
