Hello all -
I have a 3 TB cloudbox with a fried board (I'm told by the computer shop) so now I am stuck with a linux formatted drive (and RAID) and need to get the files off and into windows format again...I really don't want to send the box to Lacie and it is out of warrantee.
I have been playing around with EXT2FSD adn I can see the 8 partitions on the disk, but it is definitely not obvious to me where to go from there. I tried mounting the 'user data' partition, but when I try to view it in windows, it says that the disk is not formatted.
Is there a simple way to resolve this? a cloudbox emulator, or some way to 'automatically' transfer the files to my PC? Any of the techniques for dealing with the RAID structure, etc. appear quite beyond my normal comfort level... if it is complicated no matter what, can anyone recommend a good 'step by step' guide that assumes minimal scripting/coding knowledge?
in my opinion, the best way is to install linux (ubuntu, for instance) as a virtual machine and use it to copy your files.
