NSA212

Post by henksteenwijk » Fri Dec 13, 2013 1:40 pm

Hey there,

So as noted before I finally got ffp to work, and it's working like a charm. I have one more issue that i'm trying to overcome and thats that I would like to have a dlna server app that supports subtitles. And with subs I mean .srt files.

My television (LG 42LM3450) supports it as servio also works with subs, (not sure if it transcodes) but it works none the less. Does anybody know if there is an app that has native support that can be installed via ffp?

Cheers,
Henk

Hi henk,

Twonky dlna is working with srt files. Im streaming to showtime (playstation3) mediaplayer and it will see the srt files. The both need to have the same name though. So if you movie is called A movie.avi (mkv/mp4 etc) then the srt should be named A movie.srt
Hope it helps.

Strange,

With my LG 42LM3450 cinema 3d it's just not working. Although it should according to the manual and other media servers on my pc do actually render srt files.

Wonder if there's an option for updating twonky, have you found any info on this somewhere?

Cheers,
Henk

Mijzelf,

Is there any way I can disable the built-in twonky server? It also keeps firing up and seems to be causing a slow down of the whole system.

Cheers,
Henk

I guess you already searched the GUI?

If it cannot be done that way, you can use the package zyxel_utils to make the directory containing twonky read/write, and just delete it. If you then kill it, it can't be started anymore.
