I have 4 TB drives and *theoretically* I should've been able to create a 10.85 TB LUN with RAID 5. The largest I was able to create without failure error was around 7 TB.
Has anyone actually had any luck creating full size LUNs to use up all the free space in the pool/aggr?
I had so much trouble with their iSCSI implementation that I froze up the thing and corrupted the firmware, and LenovoEMC had to give me a special boot usb program to restore the firmware image.
After that, I am kinda nervous about messing with iSCSI as this thing was so unstable.
I work in enterprise SAN administration all day at work with high-end EMC, NetApp, IBM, and other storage platform, and mistakenly assumed that since this thing said EMC on it that it *could* have enterprise-like functionality and stability.
For now, I was so disappointed with the SAN that I just reconfigured it as NAS and it seems to be stable for the time being.
What is the largest iSCSI lun anybody has created?
