Running apcupsd at startup

Post by amr42 » Sat May 23, 2015 5:12 pm

I want to ensure that apcupsd is started when unit is powered up. I have already successfully modified the apcupsd.conf for the ability to be a net slave from another NAS. However, the apcupsd -b option is included already in the Sohoprocs.xml config file, so there is nothing to uncomment there...

Anyone else able to help me get apcupsd to start automagically?

AFAIK the /etc/rc.local script is writeable, persistent and executable. So you can add your commands there. But keep in mind the data partitions are not yet mounted when the script is executed. And maybe the line from sohoprocs.xml isn't either.
