Hello

I just my hands on a cheap Lenovo ix4-300D

But was surprised of the lacking of software support..

After googling I find out it's possible to install custom software using SSH og ipkg

I found this site with alot of great guides, but some looks to outdated and people having problems with some of the guides based on the comments:

http://stevenbreuls.com

I installed ipkg using his guide:
http://stevenbreuls.com/2013/04/install ... -300d-nas/

The only problem was that it failed at the step where I need to input:

Code:
echo "src cross http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/cross/unstable" >> /opt/etc/ipkg/armel-feed.conf
echo "src native http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/native/unstable" >> /opt/etc/ipkg/armel-feed.conf

Changed that to:

Code:
echo "src cross http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/cross/unstable" > /opt/etc/ipkg/armel-feed.conf
echo "src native http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/native/unstable" >> /opt/etc/ipkg/armel-feed.conf

Working fine with installing nano, next step according to webpage above is setup startup scripts. But it looks like the guide is outdated and poeple having problems with it:
http://stevenbreuls.com/2013/04/modify- ... -300d-nas/

Can someone help me getting this working?

Would really like to get this working on my NAS:

http://stevenbreuls.com/2014/10/nzbget- ... -300d-nas/
http://stevenbreuls.com/2014/02/couchpo ... -ix4-300d/
http://stevenbreuls.com/2014/02/sick-be ... -300d-nas/

My linux skills is lacking and I'm unable to google solutions to the problems people have.

Also is there any way to backup the NAS operative system, so if something goes wrong I can restore the NAS.. I'm unsure how much Facory recovery can do if change system files??

I did try to download everything in root using WinSCP, but cancelled it after a few hours when the file dm-01 showing as 0Kb in WinSCP was filling up 35GB space on my local drive and it still saying 20+ hours to go and still downloading..

Hope there still some people out there having this NAS or knowledge about how to get this to work..

Thank you..

That is awesome.. Thank you!

I got NZBGet, Sickbeard and Couchpotato installed and running now..

I want to try ruTorrent/rTorrent, but after installing the rutorrent package i don't know how to open the web interface..

Found a site saying to use IP_ADDRESS/rutorrent but i get this error:

404 - Page Not Found Error Message is: "'rutorrent' was not found."

How do I setup this?

Using 'netstat -lptn' you can see at which ports it is listening.

I got it running using "rtorrent-easy-install" package

But I may have some problems with folder permissions.. Couch Potato dont download any nzb files(not testet with torrents yet), also sickbeard seems to only add the folder in the selected parent folder location and then nothing happens

The settings looks correct to me, so i dont know why?? when I use the "test connection" button in Couch Potato I get "Connection successful"

I also have startet getting this error after i tried to setup NZBGet:

nzbget.conf(1927): Invalid value for option "Category4.Unpack": ""
nzbget.conf(1923): Invalid value for option "Category3.Unpack": ""
nzbget.conf(1919): Invalid value for option "Category2.Unpack": ""

Any ideas why it does this?
