I may have done something REAL dumb. But I don't know what it was.
I’m reorganizing the backups on a customer’s PX4-300D. Updated to firmware 18.104.22.16876.
I was on the management GUI and suddenly the page ‘could not be found’. Can't be found from inside the LAN, from outside, even wide open in the DMZ. However, all the Shares are still available from inside the LAN. Does this happen?
A clue(?): When I restart the NAS, there is a screen at the IP address that says Device Starting or something and shows a progress bar. As it moves along, all is good. But when it gets to 100%, the screen changes (redirects to Mgmt screen?) and then the browser says '...could not be found' again.
I was able to SSH in but obviously I don’t have the root password. Somebody somewhere said password for root was sohoadminpassword but it didn’t work (firmware?).
I’ve done the hard reset but it didn’t help. I don’t want to do a factory reset. But if I have to, can I pull the drives first to keep them from getting wiped?
