My stupid iX2 had a failed drive so I replaced it with a new one. Not sure about the exact sequencing but after waiting for it to rebuild Raid 1, it was still complaining that there was a problem. In effort to clear the red light, I decided to try and force the rebuild to go the other way since I saw an earlier message stating the the first rebuild completed.

Anyway, I have a linux live CD and I'm trying to determine if I have any useable data. If I mount the drive I suspect has good data in the NAS unit by itself, it says I cant continue until I authorize overwriting of existing data.

I tried mounting one of the drives in linux but I cant get it to mount. Is there anyone seasoned in this that can work with me please? I have all my daugthers baby pictures on this drive.
