As root:

Code: Select all

mount -o remount,rw /firmware/mnt/sysdisk
touch /firmware/mnt/sysdisk/mount.sda1.rw.flag
reboot

mkdir /mnt/sysdisk
mount -o loop /firmware/mnt/sysdisk/sysdisk.img /mnt/sysdisk
Now you can add your files in /mnt/sysdisk/usr/bin/
About 17MB available.

Note: before upgrading the firmware, you *must* remove the mount.sda1.rw.flag file, and reboot the box. This will revert the sysdisk.img file to firmware default.

It's an ordinary file, so you can delete it the normal way.

Because RandomTools adds magic to the box.

Long shot. You didn't use the NAS520 toolchain to build that package, and now your executable is dependent on /lib/ld-linux.so.3, which is not available on the box. Because all binaries in RandomTools are also dependent on /lib/ld-linux.so.3 (they are actually compiled and linked for the NSA3xx), the RT startscript creates a symlink /lib/ld-linux.so3 -> ld-linux-armhf.so.3
