error using wget in ffp

Post by Cirip » Sat Jul 23, 2016 2:50 pm

Hi All!

I installed ffp but every time I try to use wget command get the following error:

Code: Select all

root@NAS540:~# slacker -U
Updating package lists...
fetch: rsync -q 'rsync://ffp.inreto.de/ffp/0.7/arm/packages/CHECKSUMS.md5' '/ffp/funpkg/cache/s'
fetch: (cd '/ffp/funpkg/cache/mz'; wget -Nnv 'http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/Users/Mijzelf/FFP-Stick/packages/0.7/arm/CHECKSUMS.md5')
wget: invalid option -- 'N'
BusyBox v1.19.4 (2016-06-14 10:55:13 CST) multi-call binary.

Usage: wget [-c|--continue] [-s|--spider] [-q|--quiet] [-O|--output-document FILE]
        [--header 'header: value'] [-Y|--proxy on/off] [-P DIR]
        [--no-check-certificate] [-U|--user-agent AGENT] [-T SEC] URL...
What is the problem and what can I do for fix it?

The problem is the PATH, and the strange setup of the firmware. The PATH contains /usr/sbin:/ffp/bin in this sequence. The firmware has wget in /usr/sbin/. Which means the firmware /usr/sbin/wget is used instead of /ffp/bin/wget, and that is not fully compatible.

The remedy is simple. Login as admin, and su to root.
