Hi all!

Are there any options to set different permissions for subdirectory within a directory?

for example:

Volume1/Ebook (user1, user2)
Volume1/Ebook/anime (user1)
Volume1/Ebook/cookbook (user2)

Thanks your help!

Does this also apply to NAS542? And, isn't this kind of awkward? Not just if I want to share something but also when using the FTP client the situation is the same. My example would be as follows:

I want to share FolderPictures via FTP but only this folder. And I want to mount the entire HD (=all folders) to a windows machine. If I can't use subfolders for the share, I would need to create separate volumes (even if on one and the same HD), mount ALL folders separately to the windows machine and only FolderPictures via the FTP. So I would have 4 mounted drives on the windows machine in the above example.

Is this on purpose like this? Even if the above is true, I have not tried yet to make multiple volumes on one HD and I have no clue how the space allocation will work. I just bought the NAS542 and this may be a reason to return it...

Anyone any idea?
