NAS540 NFS access denied troubles...

Post by jagdtigger » Sat Apr 07, 2018 7:45 pm

Hi all :) .

So as the title describes i have troubles with NFS. I have the package installed on the main raid1 disc group. Created a share on this one then switched out the folder for a symlink. This one mounts fine on the remote machine. Then i gone ahead and created two shares for the remaining 2 disks then also switched them out for symlinks. Now these two gives me access denied errors when i try to mount them.

Have someone an idea what is causing this? Thanks advance :) .

A little update, i moved the actual folders into the nfs folders. Now the one which is the sysvol(its where NFS is installed also) is mounting, but the two from the other HDD's wont. And since i cant get a log from nfsd i dont have the foggiest idea why its not working....

According to /i-data/sysvol/.PKG/NFS/etc/init.d/NFS the actual daemons are rpcbind, rpc.nfsd, rpc.statd, and sm-notify (all located in /i-data/sysvol/.PKG/NFS/bin/). Don't what all those daemons actually do, but looking at 'daemon' --help and man 'daemon' all these daemons have options to run in foreground, log to stderr instead of syslog, ... .
So if you kill all of them, and start them in foreground (in the same order as in the NFS startscript) in some screen sessions, you might get some poor mans logging working.
