If you open up the ReadyNAS DUO you'll discover there is a hidden connector in the back panel where the metal looks a little odd. Anyone having a clue what this port is for? Awild guess is that it may be a JTAG port, but not sure as the number of connectors is lower than what is normally seen (but still sufficient).

There is also a unsoldered S/ATA connector next to the power connector, looking like maybe eSATA support was planned but then dropped. (the ReadyNAS DUO is only S/ATA, not S/ATA 2,so full eSATA compliance probably wasn't possible)

On a closer inspection of the board there is two 6-pin ports there (J3 & J4), of which only one has a pin-header mounted (J3).
