ReadyNas 102 Armada 370

Post by stenor » Thu May 30, 2013 11:05 am

Hello

Anyone try this new nas? The hardware seems quite ok, though not sure about performance of cpu. Its an marvell armada 370 at 1.2Ghz, anyone know how this will perform compared to 1.6Ghz kirkwood? 370 is armv7 and kirkwood is armv5te. http://www.marvell.com/embedded-process ... 70_SoC.pdf

Could be nice to have this running some linux distro.

There are now performance numbers for the 102 so maybe compare those with Duo v2 performance numbers.

Though the 102 is using a newer kernel and a different filesystem so it may be difficult to compare.

I found this review at smallnetbuilder: http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/nas/nas- ... 4-reviewed
104 has the same hardware, or at least soc as the 102.

Some of the numbers on 104 looks abysmal (usb 2 & 3, esata), the others mostly the same. I feel better about my NSA325 purchase :)
