attila,
How were you able to restore the 2.2.3 capsule? When I tried to run it using LaCie Network Assistant, the message received is that the current version is newer than what I am trying to run.

So far I have gotten around the clicking problem (which is actually the disk constantly spinning up and shutting down) by setting the 'Turn off the hard drives' option on web dashboard to never and then doing a hard reboot. But I don't like having the disk running all the time.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to avoid having to rebuild everything but looks like I'll have to bite the bullet. No help from LaCie on this of course. Their response was that it sounds like a power supply issue. God forbid they would admit it is their software. I'm going to continue to press them though for what it is worth. Work off some of my aggrivation.

Looks like I have to eat my words. LaCie posted firmware version 2.2.5 that addresses the issue. I have updated the drive and it appears to have resolved the problem. Poor QA on their part. Interestingly, I just received an email from their tech support informing me that they are sending me a reconditioned power supply for me to try. Free of charge since I am still under warranty. What can I say. I sent him a copy of their own release notes.
