Merge the ZYPKGS file from ZyXEL with the file from http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/ ... ypkg-repo/, add a file NO_UPDATE or bring down your internet connection, and press 'Retrieve new packages'. They should show up, and then you can uninstall them.

Another option is to disable the packages manually:
Code:
/usr/local/zy-pkgs/etc/init.d/<startscript> disable
then remove their startscripts from /usr/local/zy-pkgs/etc/init.d, and delete that status file. The package will still be there, but that won't hurt.

Ok, somehow I managed to install MetaRepository this way:

cd /i-data/md0/admin/zy-pkgs
wget http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/ ... m_010.zpkg
cd ~/temp
wget http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/ ... epo/ZYPKGS
#copy MetaRepository from ~/temp/ZYPKGS within /i-data/md0/admin/zy-pkgs/ZYPKGS
#web_prefix: insert as first line "http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/NSA310/4.70/zypkg/"
cd /usr/local/zy-pkgs/zypkg_conf
touch status
touch /i-data/md0/admin/zy-pkgs/ZYPKGS
touch /i-data/md0/admin/zy-pkgs/web_prefix
#go to Firmware/Packages (only press Package tab, don't Retrieve List From Internet)
#install & start MetaRepository
#notice the new page:
#wait 5s
#press Retrieve List From Internet button

Just for the record, I have a httpd running on port 80 and the firmware-httpd running behind it on port 82.
I see the page: http://192.168.1.31:82/pkg/MetaRepository/pkgcgi.cgi.

I use apache worker mpm so I have to build my own version.
I configured firmware-httpd to use the least possible memory and now I have the flexibility to use any version of httpd (with any version of php and python) with any patch and module.

What? And turn the lean 80kB package in a 170MB monster? Why?

You can download it any way you like. It can be found here. But to use it you need shell access on your nas as root, and use the provided chroot script.

Hello everyone!
I've got a problem with a mc installed from this repository. I'm using PuTTY as my Telnet client. When I start mc it shows up, but I can't control it. Using cursor keypad results in typing letters in the terminal. I'm running original firmware V4.70(AFK.1), without FFP. Same situation when using AnyTerm.

Telnet often gives problems. You can either install dropbear and use ssh, or install RandomTools, which among others also installs terminal definitions. Or install both.

Hey Mijzelf, are there any plans for upgrading the Pulse (syncthing) package?

EDIT: A follow up message in case anyone has my dillema in which sync application to use (syncthing or btsync). I found afterall that BtSync works way better (resource-wise) than syncthing (was using it way back but decided to switch to synchthing because it's open source). The differece in memory usage is very significant (7.7% for btsync, 14-15% for syncthing). I don't know if this has been fixed in newer version but it seems unlikely. I am syncing between my NSA and a windows 7 (old) laptop and on the laptop side of things the old 1.3.109 version of btsync is better for me (newer version 2 is buggy and doesn't work with 1.4 version of the nsa).
